Day Skipper Theory
The Day skipper theory course does exactly what it says on the tin, it will give you all the skills you need to be able to navigate a boat of a reasonable size during the hours of day light on a short coastal passage. The course takes 5 days and is considered to be the foundation for all the navigation you will do at sea.
There are no pre requisites for this course but it is recommended that you have attended either a Competent Crew course or the Basic Navigation and Safety course to have some background knowledge.
That said if you have spent a reasonable amount of time on the water but haven’t attended a course, a bit of revision before hand should do the trick.
